    Honor the King
1 Peter 2:11-17 (NIV) 11 Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul. 12 Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us. 13 Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority, 14 or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do

    Unpardonable Sin?
The idea of hell as being a place of eternal torment is birthed out of our desire to think that we are better and more deserving than others. This presumption is seriously flawed in light of the scripture, for it is stated in no uncertain terms that, "There is none righteous, no, not one. There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God” (Rom. 3:10). Even Christ Himself, when addressed as “Good Master,” replied, “Why do you call me good? No one is good but One, that is, God”

The first mention of the word “faith” in the King James Bible is found in Matthew 6:30. It is the transliteration oligopistos, a compound word of oligos and pistis. Pistis is actually the Greek word used most often and translated as “faith” throughout the King James New Testament. Strong’s defines this as, “Persuasion, i.e. credence; moral conviction.” “Persuasion,” as in “a belief or set of beliefs, especially religious or political ones.” “Credence,” as in “belief in or acceptance of

    The Free Will of Man
Man is a free will agent, but not a free moral agent. God has granted free will to man within the parameters of the universal principle of sowing and reaping, but he has not granted man the right to set his own moral standard. How do I know? Due to the rule of law that exists in most societies, and again, to the universal principle of sowing and reaping. This principle, when rightly understood, sets the precedent for every human being on the planet; past, present, and future. And this principle,

    The Acceptance of Darkness
Acceptance of darkness, both in ourselves and others, should never be acknowledged or embraced as right. There is a marked difference between the acceptance of something that is wrong about ourselves or our society as opposed to justifying it in any sense. If this were not true, then there would be no place for the rule of law as it exists today. Man would simply be left to his own devices and receive the consequences of his actions in whatever fashion they came. In a word, it would be anarchy.

The Most Destructive Force on this Planet
Pride is the most destructive force on the planet, so much so, that I am inclined to believe that it is what the Bible presents as the “serpent,” the “devil” or “Satan.” This can be confirmed by the parable of Adam and Eve in Genesis. John called it “the spirit of error” (I John 4:6). Proverbs calls it a “haughty spirit” (Prov. 16:18). The “serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made” (Gen. 3:1). This means that man, who is basically a “beast” (Ecc. 3:18),

    Connecting the Dots
From my latest study, "Studies in Revelation - The Two Witnesses" (Chapter One) CONNECTING THE DOTS I am fascinated by the book of the Revelation. No doubt about it, it is the most mysterious book of the Bible, its numbers and symbols challenging any and all who would seek to understand its message. Countless books and articles have been written about its content, producing such a large host of speculations that it is difficult for anyone to know where to turn for understanding. Despite this

    Where the Rapture Came From
While searching online for something in particular, I happened on a website ( which peaked my interest. Looking under "Articles," I found the following information about the "rapture" which I felt was very important to every member of the Body of Christ. Have you ever wondered where this teaching came from? This article will help. I have not included the whole article, but just enough to provoke you to thought. Most importantly is the part from Margaret MacDonald,
  9. Matthew, Chapter 24

    Matthew, Chapter 24
MATTHEW, CHAPTER 24 (From my study, "Hell, No! An Alternative View of Hell") At the beginning of Matthew, Chapter 24, there are three questions which Jesus’ disciples asked Him, two which relate directly to the theory of the rapture. “What will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” Jesus answered His disciples, saying, “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of
